ANNOUNCEMENT - New Coach Named

March 24, 2014: The Olentangy Orange Athletic Department is pleased to announce the selection of James Daugherty as the new head girls soccer coach. 

Coach Daugherty comes to Orange having coached soccer for the past 20 years, at the club, high school, and collegiate level. He has been successful at each stop, and in his 13 years of coaching at the high school level, he has won 5 District Championships, 2 Regional Championships, and 1 State Championship at Bexley High School in 2005.

Coach Daugherty spent four years at Purdue University (2008-2012) where he served as Assistant Women's Coach, in charge of training of the goalkeepers. Most recently, he was the girls soccer coach at Marysville High School, winning the first District Championship in school history last year. Coach Daugherty will be joining our math department in the Fall of 2014.

RETURNING PLAYERS MEETING: Coach Daugherty will meet with all Returners after school on Tuesday, March 25. Meet in Room 1507 (Mr Lattig's Health Room).

NEW AND RETURNING PLAYERS/PARENTS MEETING: Coach Daugherty will meet with all players parents Wednesday, March 26 7:00pm in the Commons for a meet and greet. Items to be discussed are Philosophy on Teaching/Coaching, program goal setting, Off-Season objectives, communications strategies, and possible summer schedule (Tentative). All players and parents - including 8th graders with an interest in playing at OOHS in the Fall - are welcome and encouraged to attend!!
