Head Coach Jen Odebrecht

Coach Odebrecht enters her fourth season as head coach at Olentangy Orange after leading the Pioneers to a 10-6-2 campaign in 2010 (5-1-1 OCC-Central Division). In their 2009 Division I debut, the Pioneers posted a 10-8 overall record and finished 2nd in their conference. In their inaugural campaign in 2008, the Pioneers posted an impressive 13-5-2 record that culminated in a trip to the Division II Central District Final.

Odebrecht graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida in 2003. Odebrecht was a three-year starting goalkeeper on the women’s soccer team after transferring from Ohio State. She was a captain and All-Sunshine State Conference selection in 2002. Her high school career as a four-year starter at Thomas Worthington culminated in OCC, District, and Regional championships in 1997 as well as a Division I State runner-up finish. She was a captain and ALL-OCC selection in 1996 and 1997. Odebrecht was the starting goalkeeper for the 1998 U-19 National Runner-up, Regional, and State Cup Champion COSA Express Club team.

Coach Odebrecht began her coaching career as an assistant at The Wellington School in 2003 and returned to Rollins College in 2004 as assistant women’s soccer coach. In 2006 she was the Head JV Coach at Thomas Worthington and compiled at 13-1-2 record in her first season as a head coach. Coach Odebrecht has a USSF “E” License and holds an NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma as well as NSCAA State and Regional goalkeeping diplomas.

Odebrecht completed her master’s degree in education administration at Ohio University in the summer of 2011 and is a social studies teacher at Olentangy Orange High School.

Assistant Coach Jessica Lane 


Coach Lane enters her fourth season at Olentangy Orange after serving as both a varsity assistant and head JV coach throughout her tenure. Lane graduated from Gardner-Webb University in May 2007 where she was a four-year starter on the women’s soccer team. Lane played her first two high school varsity seasons at Gahanna Lincoln High School where she was named 1st Team All-OCC and Honorable Mention ALL-District honors as a sophomore. Lane transferred to The Wellington School her junior year where she was a team captain and 1st Team All-District her junior and senior seasons. While at Wellington, the Jaguars went 35-5-1 including the school’s first-ever district finals appearance in 2002. Lane was recognized by The Wellington School as the class Scholar-Athlete upon graduation. Coach Lane played for the Eagles Soccer Club and was a 2001 Ohio South State Cup runner-up.

Coach Lane is a U-12 and U-14 head coach with the New Albany Crew Juniors and holds a USSF "E" License as well as an NSCAA Youth Level II Diploma. She is a Lease Analyst for Asset Strategies Group LLC.

Assistant Coach Courtney Gillespie

Entering her first season with the Orange girl’s soccer program, Coach Gillespie graduated from Baldwin-Wallace in 2009 where she was a 4-year starter and in 2005 was named to the All-OAC 2nd Team, was Team Defensive Player of the Year, and was recognized as the Penn State-Behrend Tournament MVP. Gillespie was an All-Academic OAC member in 2006 and 2007. At Brunswick High School, Gillespie was a 3-year varsity starter and earned Defensive Player of the Year honors as a senior.

Gillespie was an assistant varsity coach at Highland High School in 2008, coached several Highland Youth area travel teams, and served as a Brunswick Travel Soccer evaluator.


Assistant Coach Elizabeth Rice

Entering her first season with the Orange girl’s soccer program, Coach Rice graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in 2011 where she was a four-year letter winner and team captain as a senior. Coach Rice was named Academic All-OAC in 2008, 2009, 2010 and ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District IV, and was recognized as the Player’s Player in 2009 and 2010. Coach Rice was also recognized for her efforts in organizing a breast cancer awareness game and fundraiser in 2010 and 2011 and received the Campus Community Service Award. At Triway High School, Coach Rice was a four-year varsity starter and earned the Team Leadership Award as a senior.
